ACE summons Imran, his sister in Layyah corruption scandal

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has summoned PTI Chairman Imran Khan, his sister Dr Uzma Khan and her husband Ahad Majeed in Layyah land corruption case, spokesperson stated on Saturday.

According to a notification issued by the spokesperson, the PTI leader has been requested to seem before ACE headquarters on June 19 while Uzma and her husband were asked to present themselves before ACE DG Khan.

Earlier, Imran turned into summoned by means of ACE on June 16 but he did not seem before it.The summon became affixed at Imran’s Lahore Zaman Park residence.
The spokesperson maintained that the ACE had “clean evidence” of the PTI chairman’s involvement within the Layyah corruption scandal, including that pressure became exerted on revenue officials from Bani Gala – Imran’s house in Islamabad – for unlawful transfer of land.

According to the spokesperson, the land became bought in 2021-22 through fraud, adding that Uzma and Majeed made a faux switch of the land on their names.
